
WHO/WHAT: The Center for Japanese Studies and the Hawai‘i Language Roadmap Initiative will be co-hosting a hybrid in-person and online talk story called “I learned Japanese in a Classroom.” Chat with a roundtable featuring Judge Walter Kirimitsu, attorney Stephen Dyer and Kati Vasconcellos, three individuals who learned Japanese in a classroom setting and successfully took their learned skills into their careers. Panelists will share their experiences, stories and insights on how Japanese language studies opened doors for both personal and professional growth.
