WHO/WHAT: Join the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i for a special screening of two local short films: “Inheritance,” directed by Erin Lau and “FINDING DOHI,” directed by Amber McClure. Both films explore themes of family, identity and belonging. The events will open with a guest performance by Kanaka ʻŌiwi poet and artist Inalihi, followed by original music by Ohtoro. Following the screening, Taylour Chang, director of public programs and community engagement at Bishop Museum, will moderate a Q&A session with the filmmakers and audience. Proceeds from the event will support the filmmakers and JCCH.
