
WHO/WHAT: Funded by the Robert F. Lange Foundation, Honolulu Museum of Art’s “Transformation: Modern Japanese Art” exhibition showcases 125 pieces of art donated by collector Terry Welch. Changes and development in Japan from the 1860s through the 1930s can be recognized throughout each of the pieces. The exhibition is rich with innovation and diversity in various reinvented art forms such as paintings and ceramics.
