WHO/WHAT: The Center for Okinawan Studies in partnership with the Worldwide Uchinanchu Business Association presents the Taste of Okinawa, a fundraising event to celebrate and share traditional food and drink along with contemporary dishes; supporting students, research and teaching of Okinawa-related subjects at the Center for Okinawan Studies, which provides outreach to the general community in the form of workshops, lectures and conferences; and to create awareness of Okinawan culture, emphasizing the positive contributions the Okinawan community has made in Hawai‘i. This is an age 21 and over event.
