WHO/WHAT: The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center presents Yakamashii!!, a talk story event series hosted by Maui storyteller and media personality Kathy Collins. June’s special guest is Eric Gilliom, a musician, actor and singer, who has performed on Broadway, the Grammy awards and previously paired with the late Willie K to form the Barefoot Natives, a Na Hoku Hanohano-award winning music and comedy act that toured the world. Gilliom is currently starring in his autobiographical one-man show “White Hawaiian,” where he shares his Maui upbringing as a Caucasian with Hawaiian roots. The hybrid event is available to watch live, via Zoom or Facebook Live.
