WHO/WHAT: Koinobori, or carp streamers, symbolize features like strength, courage, patience, and success. These are used in Japanese culture to celebrate Children’s Day and are hung from April to early May. Jodo Mission has a beautiful array of koinobori hung up, and they are picture perfect for families!

WHEN/WHERE: Visit the koinobori until Saturday, May 20, at Jodo Mission of Hawai’i, 1429 Makiki St. Business hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
