WHO/WHAT: “Warabi Ashibi” is an Okinawan term meaning “children at play” and is the name for the summer program that the Hawaii United Okinawa Association holds to provide children (ages 8 – 13) with a fun and educational experience while being able to learn about Okinawan culture.
WHEN/WHERE: The summer day camp will take place from June 6 – 9 at Hawaii Okinawa Center, but the last day for O‘ahu residents to register is May 5 or when 60 children are enrolled, whichever happens first. For more information, visit huoa.org/events/ and click on the “Warabi Ashibi” event.
