WHO/WHAT: Karii, meaning “cheers” or toast in Okinawan, is a fundraising event for ages 21+ only. Samples of specialty mixed drinks, beer, awamori and sake will be served, along with tasting dishes from local eateries. If you plan to drink, please consider using a rideshare service or having a designated driver. Proceeds from Karii will go towards supporting HUOA’s mission to promote, perpetuate and preserve Okinawan culture.

WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, April 2, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m, at Hawaii Okinawa Center, 94-587 Uke‘e St.
