WHO/WHAT: Descendants and allies of incarcerees will bring life to voices featured in the book “When Can We Go Back to America?: Voices of Japanese American Incarceration During WWII” by Susan H. Kamei. The program will feature readings from Sansei and Yonsei Japanese Americans whose family members were incarcerees and members of the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. There will also be an art showcase, a string and clarinet quintet, illustrations by Miné Okubo and poetry presented by artist and author traci kato-kiriyama.
