WHO/WHAT: “Kikaida Forever!” will be the last Kikaida tribute event, held at the New Year’s ‘Ohana Festival, where attendees will have one more chance to take photos with Kikaida and Friends. The free event begins with a Kikaida Forever stage performance, followed by the UH Pep Band and Hongwanji Keiki Chorus. There will also be an autograph session with special guest star, Japanese actor “Jiro” Ban Daisuke and picture taking. Attendees also have a chance to enter a free drawing to win “Generation Kikaida” DVDs. Special commemorative “Forever” t-shirts, posters and DVDs will be sold at the Generation Kikaida booth.
WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, Jan. 15, 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii, 2454 S. Beretania St., 5th floor ballroom. Free parking and shuttle service will be available at Washington Middle School, 1633 S. King St.
