WHO/WHAT: After two years of virtual holiday celebrations, the Honolulu Zoo returns to its in-person annual Holiday with the Animals event. The zoo is closed on Christmas day, but visitors can watch zoo residents receive and rip open gifts and goodies wrapped by zoo staff and volunteers. Past gifts have included giant stuffed animals, non-toxic paper mache cardboard gingerbread houses and meaty treats.

WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (zoo grounds close at 4 p.m.), Honolulu Zoo, 151 Kapahulu Ave.

TICKETS:Included with the cost of admission. $19 adults; $11 children (ages 3-12); $8 kama’aina and military; $4 kama’aina keiki (ages 3-12); free for infants 2 and under. For more information, please visit honoluluzoo.org.
