WHO/WHAT: The Japanese American National Museum along with Little Tokyo Service Center presents Okaeri’s 2022 Allyship Symposium, a virtual event covering LGBTQ+ allyship in six areas: 1) family (Japanese speaking; 2) family (English speaking); 3) work; 4) school; 5) faith (Christian); 6) and faith (Buddhist). The goal of the event is to bring together understandings of allyship through the lens of the Japanese American LGBTQ+ community and how attendees can gather clear takeaways that they can implement in their own lives.
