WHO/WHAT: Join the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Congress and Government Affairs Committee for a free webinar discussing the life of Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe. Nobukatsu Kanehara, professor in the faculty of law at Donshisha University in Kyoto, will discuss Abe’s legacy both nationally and internationally. Kanehara served as assistant chief cabinet secretary to Prime Minister Abe from 2012 to 2019 and also held positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security Secretariat and in the Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office. Moderating the presentation is Charles Morrison, former president of the East-West Center and current adjunct senior fellow at the center.
