WHO/WHAT: On the first three Saturdays in July, the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center will air three Japanese animated films, produced by Studio Ghibli. The first film, “Grave of the Fireflies,” is a 1988 war tragedy about two siblings struggling to survive after firebombing during the Second World War. The second film, “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” is a fantasy tale about a young witch who uses her flying ability to earn a living when she moves to a new town. “My Neighbor Totoro,” the 1988 cult classic about two sisters who interact with friendly wood spirits, closes out the festival.
