WHO/WHAT: Collections of Waikiki — a boutique shopping center comprised of four premier resorts and hotels in Honolulu — proudly presents the debut of the solo art exhibition by artist Kris Goto in Sheraton Waikiki’s Polu Gallery. Entitled “Natural Habitat,” Goto’s exhibition will feature Goto’s interpretations of her concept of “home.” To Goto, the definition of “home” is different to each person and this exhibition hopes for its visitors to discover what that means to them. Born and raised in the countryside of Japan, Goto was heavily influenced by art found in manga and other forms of Japanese art. The now O‘ahu-based multidisciplinary artist specializes in art on canvases and has become well-known within Hawai‘i’s art scene.
