WHO/WHAT: To commemorate women’s history month, Treehouse Photo Lab — a film processing, scanning and printing service for the film community — features passionate film photographers Jana Uyeda and Tien Austin’s work for the month of March. Uyeda states that experiencing with various lenses and films help differentiate their subjects from familiar surroundings. Occurrences such as cherry blossom season helps Uyeda recognize the passage of time while photographing their bloom. Austin shares that she’s had many conversations with about what it means to be a woman, specifically in spaces dominated by cisgender men.
