WHO/WHAT: The Japanese American National Museum welcomes poets Brian Komei Dempster and Brynn Saito to converse about the legacy of Japanese American wartime imprisonment and how it apprises during present times. Explore important, timely themes: what does it mean to inherit the saga of incarnation? Figure out ways to process trauma, racism, anti-Asian sentiment and violence. Discover and describe a community can validate social change. Dempster and Saito will encourage interaction with the audience and share poems that resonate with their responses.
