WHO/WHAT: The Japanese American Veterans Association will hold a “Day of Affirmation” livestream that will capture the wreath-laying ceremony at the Price of Freedom Wall, National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
This day celebrates the time, 74 years ago in 1946 at 12 noon, when President Harry Truman reviewed the returning 442nd Regimental Combat Team on the Ellipse of the White House and decorated the 442nd with its 7th Presidential Unit Citation.
