Known for poking fun at those in power, kyogen has delighted and entertained audiences for over 600 years. This show begins with a classic play, Tachiubai, presented by professional kyogen performers in Japan and featuring Master Kyogen Advisor and performer Shigeyama Sennojo III, followed by UHM students performing new translations and adaptations of popular works plus completely new works inspired by kyogen.
WHEN/WHERE: Presented online from April 23rd through May 2nd at Kennedy Theatre, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
