WHO/WHAT: PATH stays a step ahead of the pandemic by hosting its first Virtual Run for Hops, held in conjunction with the Kona Brewers Festival, a community celebration and fundraiser. Offering participants the choice of walking/running a 5k or 10k course, Run for Hops is a family-friendly event that encourages participants to get some fresh air. Its “virtual” nature comes from the flexible 3+ weeks in which runners (or walkers) can join in on the run.
PATH is a non-profit advocacy organization whose mission is to safely connect people and places on Hawai‘i island. Run for Hops aids in supporting PATH programs and initiatives, including Safe Routes to School, Bike Education and safe streets advocacy.
WHEN/WHERE: Friday, Feb. 19-Sunday, March 14. Register at register.chronotrack.com/r/56612. Additional details about the virtual run will be included in the registration email. [For more on the Kona Brewers Festival, to be held on Sunday, March 13, from 3-5 p.m. HST, see konabrewersfestival.com/tickets/.]
COST: $30 per person, $20 for ages 14 and under and free for those who registered from the 2020 Run for Hops.
