WHO/WHAT: The Japanese Cultural Society of Maui is holding its 2021 Shinnen Enkai virtually. During the New Year’s celebration, the JCSM will present its Resilience Award to people of all races and ages who have “gone beyond their own capacity or job to give back and inspire others to do the same.” Though tickets to the streamed gathering are free, community members and organizations that donate funds can receive recognition and limited promotion through the event which helps support JCSM scholarships.

WHEN/WHERE: The Shinnen Enkai will be streamed over Zoom on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., on JCSM’s FaceBook page: facebook.com/jcsmaui/ where you can get tickets to the FREE event.
