
WHO/WHAT: The Japanese Community Association of Hawaiʻi (on Hawaiʻi island) will give two $1,500 scholarships to high-school seniors planning to pursue Japanese studies in college. Post-secondary students formerly from the Big Island can also apply. Preference will be given to students whose parents or guardians are members in good standing with the JCAH. 2020 winners were Jillian Mitsuda and Luke Hamano.
WHEN/WHERE: Application forms, once completed, must be postmarked on or before Friday, Apr. 2, and mailed to JCAH, 714 Kanoelehua Ave., Suite 202, Hilo, HI 96720, or emailed to jcahawaii@yahoo.com.
