Street Bikers United Hawaii donated toys to help the Kaneohe Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” campaign on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at West Oahu Veterans Center (AMVETS Hawaii) in Ewa Beach.One of SBUH’s members flashes a shaka while adding to the many donations.According to the “Marine Corps Toys for Tots” website (toysfortots.org), the mission of the program “is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.”SBUH members enjoyed beautiful weather and a successful event.

Kagami mochi, or mirror rice cake, is a traditional Japanese New Year decoration.Kagami mochi consists of two round mochi with a smaller one placed on top a larger one, and a daidai (a bitter orange) with an attached leaf on top. “Daidai” means “from generation to generation.”
