Hawaii Buddhist Council live streaming its annual Buddha Day Service due to COVID 19

WHO/WHAT: This year the Hawaii Buddhist Council will live stream its annual Buddha Day Service due to COVID-19 concerns.

Buddah Day, or Hanamatsuri, commemorates the birth of Siddhartha Gautama in the Lumbini Garden. Services often feature a hanamido, or miniature floral altar, with a figure of the baby Buddah. Each year, the seven denominations that make up the HBC hold a joint Buddah Day service in Honolulu at one of the member temples.

WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, April 5, at 9:30 a.m. There will be a live stream from the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin available on the HHMH YouTube channel. The video will also be available later on-demand.
