The highlight of this research is the possibility of preventing cancer by eating bananas. “BRM can be introduced into our bodies simply by eating bananas. We can gain the benefits of its cancer-inhibiting effects. And because of its molecular weight, it is believed BRM is easily absorbed by the human intestine. When I calculated how much we would actually have to eat, I determined we could get positive benefits by eating about two bananas per day,” said Prof. Yamazaki.

“BRM is stable in heat as well as acidic and alkaline conditions, so benefits can be expected regardless of how the bananas are eaten,” he added. In other words, whether you eat the bananas as deep-fried chips, as banana cake or whatever else suits you, you can look forward to identical benefits.
