WHO/WHAT: The Japan-America Society of Hawaii will hold its annual dinner themed “Celebrating the Dawn of Reiwa.” The evening’s keynote speaker will be Duane Kurisu, founder and chairman of aio; and Paul Yonamine — chairman and CEO of Central Pacific Financial Corp. and executive chairman of Central Pacific Bank — will be honored with the 2019 Bridge Award.
The Bridge Award honors an individual, company or organization for promoting understanding and friendship between Hawai‘i and Japan.
WHEN/WHERE: Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort Coral Ballroom. A silent auction and registration begins at 5 p.m. with the dinner program starting at 6 p.m.
COST: Individual tickets are $250 (members, $200). Corporate tables (10 per table) range from $3,000-$10,000.
