WHO/WHAT: Eisa was originally an Okinawan folk dance performed during Obon to honor the spirits of the ancestors. Today, however, Eisa is also performed at various celebrations. This workshop led by Hawaii Eisa Shinyuu Kai co-founder Linda Asato will include historical information on Eisa, as well as a chance to learn a few Eisa dance numbers.
