WHO/WHAT: Musician, educator and “natto demonstrator” Eien Hunter-Ishikawa will talk about natto (fermented beans), which is regarded as a “superfood” in Japan. Natto is known for its many health benefits including cardiovascular health, brain function, bone and teeth strength, and improved digestive system.
The presentation will be a rare opportunity to taste Hunter-Ishikawa’s own fresh, organically produced natto, whether you are a connoisseur or not, and to learn about natto’s nutritional value, production process and history. He will also share traditional and nontraditional recipes and answer audience questions.
