Hawaii Hochi, Ltd.’s 36th annual “Guess the Cherry Blossom Festival Queen” Contest concluded this year with the presentation of the prizes to their respective winners. This year’s sponsors were:

• First Prize: A travel gift certificate valued at $500 from Regal Travel. The gift certificate could be used for air, hotel or cruise travel.

• Second Prize: Dinner buffet for four people at the Pagoda Floating Restaurant.

• Third Prize: A gift basket provided by Iida’s, which is known for its wide selection of Japanese gift items.

The winning ballots were drawn by Queen Lauren Sugai in late March. The winners were notified and arrangements were made for the sponsors to present their prizes to the winners.

Myra Maedo-Malago of Marina, Calif., winner of the second place prize of the Pagoda Floating Restaurant dinner for four, will claim her prize and enjoy dinner with her friends when she visits Hawai‘i later.

The Hawai‘i Herald and Hawaii Hochi thank the contest sponsors for their support.
