The East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai is currently accepting applications for up to two $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors who plan to begin their post high school education this fall. The application deadline is Saturday, April 6 (applications must be postmarked by April 6).
Applicants must be a senior at any East Hawai‘i public or private high school and must enroll full-time (12 or more credits) in any accredited college or university for the 2019-2020 academic year. The eligible schools are: Laupähoehoe Community Public Charter School, Hilo High, Waiäkea High, Pähoa High, Kea‘au High, Ka‘ü High, St. Joseph, Kamehameha Schools, Christian Liberty School and Honoka‘a High School.
The scholarships must be used for college or university tuition, room and board, books, travel or other expenses.
The applicant must be a child or grandchild of an East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai member in good standing (dues paid).
