“Happy Sisters” tells the story of sisters Ye-Eun Yoon and Sang-Eun Yoon.

Her husband’s business is doing well and they move into a new house. Ye-Eun then finds out her husband is having an affair.
Sang-Eun is single and runs a small piano institute. She has fallen into debt. Then she meets Jae-Woong Choi through a matchmaking agency. Jae-Woong proposes to enter into a contract marriage with Sang- Eun and in return he will pay off her debts.

Yoon-Yi works as a secretary and has held her job for the past five years. She is loyal and devoted to her work. Yoon-Yi is placed on a waiting list for a new position and is devastated.
Meanwhile, Chi-Won is scouted for a managing director position in the Video Business Department at YB Ad. He carries a trauma related to a fire incident when he was young. Yoon-Yi is assigned to work as Chi-Won’s secretary, but he tells her that he does not need her. Yoon-Yi tells him otherwise. One evening, they have dinner with their boss. Yoon-Yi gets drunk and Chi-Won takes her home. The house where she lives turns out ot be the same house Chi-Won experi- enced the traumatic fire incident as a child.
