WHO/WHAT: The Sumi-e Society of Hawaii will celebrate its 16th anniversary with an exhibit of their works. Sachie Saigusa-Sensei’s students will present their sumi-e (black ink), Nihonga (Japanese-style paintings) and Shikishi paintings.

WHEN/WHERE: Honolulu Hale Courtyard, 530 S. King St. Monday, April 16, from noon-4:30 p.m.; April 17-26 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and April 27 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
