WHO/WHAT: The UH Manoa Library and the UHM Center for Okinawan Studies will present a public talk focusing on the Pacific War from the perspective of the Nisei soldiers who served there with the Military Intelligence Service. Mark Matsunaga, the son of an MIS veteran, will present an overview of the MIS’ service in World War II, and Dr. Shinye Gima, Ph.D., will present a personal account of his service in Okinawa.
