A NUMBER OF THINGS

Stevenson wrote, “The world is so full of a number of things I’m sure we should be as happy as kings.” Today our world has so many more things than in Stevenson’s day. We push buttons and we have light, music, heat and even movies. But has not the increase of things multiplied our confusion? Has it not robbed us of life’s deepest meaning?
