WHO/WHAT: The Leilehua Alumni and Community Association (LACA) presents its Second Annual Leilehua Alumni and Community Bash. This non-profit’s mission is to support Leilehua High School and its feeder schools in various philanthropic venues as their students and faculty strive toward achievements in education and participation in related school activities.
This fundraising event will recognize outstanding alumni of Leilehua High School and their contributions to the community. This year’s honorees are Dr. Sadao Honda (Class of 1948), Melvin Tanioka (Class of 1965), Kathy Inouye (Class of 1974) and the late Barbara Kim Yamashita (Class of 1948).
Also featured will be live music from The Persuasian Band, and live and silent auctions.
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, Aug. 6, from 6-10 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i, Manoa Ballroom.
