WHO/WHAT: The Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce presents its 38th Annual “Commitment to Excellence” Art Exhibition – Showcasing the Next Generation of Artistic Excellence. The exhibition will feature works from local artists, as well at 2016 Distinguished Artist Yida Wang.

“Award of Excellence” prizes will be presented to the most outstanding two- and three-dimensional category works by a juried-in entrant. Cash awards will be given to those who place first, second and third, as well as Honorable Mention. Student entrants will also compete for a special Rising Star prize.

WHEN/WHERE: Tuesday, Aug. 9, to Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Honolulu Museum of Art School (1111 Victoria St.) Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Tues.-Sat.) and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
