WHO/WHAT: The 10th Annual Pacific Buddhist Taiko Festival began in 2007 as the “Taiko & Karaoke Festival.” The student-led concert has since grown into one of the state’s most anticipated cultural performances. This year’s theme is “Shin: The Heart and Mind of Taiko” and features song and dance performances from the entire PBA student body and faculty, as well as Hongwanji Mission School students and members of the community. It is directed by Taiko sensei Jay Toyofuku, with set designs by art instructor Wayne Takazono.
WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, April 10, at 4 p.m. at the Pearl City Cultural Center, 2100 Hookiekie St.
