WHO/WHAT: Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai and Maui Mall present the 2015 Maui Okinawan Festival. Festival-goers will enjoy traditional Okinawan food, authentic entertainment and martial arts.
Vendors will sell arts, crafts and jewelry. Professional photo sessions in traditional Okinawan wear will also be available for children and adults, with all proceeds to benefit MOKK. A country store will feature homemade pickles, jams and jellies, maki sushi, baked goods and different types of mochi. In addition, there will be games and activities for the keiki and festival T-shirts for sale.
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Maui Mall, 70 E. Ka‘ahumanu Ave. in Kahului.
COST: Admission is free. Cost for some activities and food.
