WHO/WHAT: In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Ohana Arts Festival & School will present an encore presentation of “Peace on Your Wings.” The original musical, written by Jenny Taira and Laurie Rubin, was inspired by the life of Sadako Sasaki, a 12-year-old girl who died from leukemia, as a result of the atomic bombing on Hiroshima in 1945.
WHEN/WHERE: Thursday, Aug. 6 to Sunday, Aug. 9, at Hawai‘i Theatre Center. Show times are 7 p.m. on Aug. 6-8 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 9.
