WHO/WHAT: Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha – Hawaii Dazaifu presents its annual Chinowa blessing for people and pets. Pets are spiritual creatures that love us unconditionally. The special blessing creates a day of love and celebration honoring our faithful friends and loyal companions. A stuffed animal may be brought to represent a pet. Pets must be leashed or caged.

WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, June 7, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., 1239 Olomea St. in Kalihi. Reservations are not required. Event is free and open to the public. Parking is available along the street. Additional parking at Damien School, 1401 Houghtailing St. A free shuttle is available; however, pets are not allowed on the shuttle.
