WHO/WHAT: The United Japanese Society of Hawaii will host a recognition ceremony for students of all levels, who excel in the Japanese language. This year, 17 participants representing Hawai‘i’s public schhool, private schools and Japanese language schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels will be honored. Each participant will prepare and share a 3-minute memorized speech of their chosen topic/theme. Entertainment will be provided by Ryusei Taiko.
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, April 18, at 9 a.m. at Nichiren Mission of Hawaii, 33 Pulelehua Way.
