WHO/WHAT: The 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans will present a Spring Fling Bazaar. The event will feature the handiwork of talented local artists at the Mini-Craft Fair. Items include aloha print paddle and baseball bat bags, jewelry, handmade soaps, pet toys, sock dolls, T-shirts and more. Unique collectibles can be found at the Estate Sale featuring custom aloha shirts for men, porcelain figurines, and Japanese ceramics and lacquerware. There will also be plants for sale.
Visitors can also learn about the World War II Japanese American veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion at the Education Center, from members of the Descendants Chapter.
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans Clubhouse, 520 Kamoku St. This event is free and open to the public.
Parking is available at Ala Wai Elementary School. A portion of the sales proceeds from the Bazaar will benefit the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans Education Center and other programs.
