Aloha! I’m Linda Ichiyama and I have represented Moanalua, Salt Lake and Äliamanu in the State House of Representatives since 2010. It is a privilege to serve you and your family in the State House and I humbly ask for your support in the General Election.
I was born and raised in Salt Lake and graduated from Salt Lake Elementary and Moanalua Middle schools and Moanalua High School. I understand the importance of a quality public education. As Vice Chair of the House Higher Education Committee for the past two years, I worked hard with my colleagues to improve transparency and accountability at the University of Hawai‘i. Our students deserve a first-class public university system that will make them competitive on the global stage.
My grandparents — Daniel Ichiyama, an electrician, and Bessie (Arakaki) Ichiyama, a caterer — along with my parents, Carole and Mark, taught me the values of hard work, perseverance and giving back to the community. I have benefited from the resources and generosity of others for many years and believe that this is my opportunity to serve.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my campaign. I hope you will consider supporting me in the General Election on November 4. Please feel free to contact me at (808) 392-4547 or repichiyama@gmail.com. — Mahalo nui loa, Linda Ichiyama
