WHO/WHAT: “Hanagurumu” is a unique and highly anticipated production of cultural exchange presented by Chinen Toshiko Ryuso Bunka Gakuin. This spectacular presentation is the first of its kind, and will focus on the beauty of Okinawan costumes. It will feature music by National Living Treasures of Japan Choichi Terukina and Kishun Nishie, and dance by Certified National Intangible Cultural Assets in Japan Setsuko Tamagusuku, Yoshiko Tanita, and Mieko Kinjo from Okinawa.

Also featured is National Living Treasure of America, NEA Fellow Lynne Yoshiko Nakasone; as well as local performers from Hooge Ryu Hana Nuuzi no Kai Nakasone Dance Academy and Tamagusuku Ryu Senjukai Frances Nakachi Ryubu Dojo.
