Actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, known for his roles in Mortal Kombat and Rising Sun, visited the Pacific Aviation Museum last Friday for a tour and lunch with executive director Kenneth DeHoff. It was his first time back to the Museum since he acted in Pearl Harbor.

Tagawa ventured to the newly-opened-to-the-general-public Hangar 79, which increases the Museum’s exhibit space by more than 50 percent. Moved by what he saw, he offered to help the Museum with its fundraising efforts to save the Control Tower and refurbish two more hangars.

While in Honolulu during this 10-day visit, he did workshops with the Hawaii Actors Network, visited with the American Renaissance Academy students in Kapolei, and did his first tweetup with his fans at The Venue in downtown Honolulu, among other activities.
