That’s extra good news for rugby fans in Japan, who just might be getting a new franchise there in the coming years, according to the Sky Sports The players on the Japanese franchise would be made up of the best players from Japan and other foreigners, mostly from Australia.
And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s also talk of holding the 2009 Bledisloe Cup in Tokyo – which is the equivalent of hosting the Notre Dame-USC game, only with the largest trophy in world rugby in tow.
